An intelligent image archive, built for radiologist efficiency.
Strata was designed by software engineers working closely with a radiologist with 25+ years of PACS experience — and it shows. Intelligent worklists, customizable hanging protocols, pre-fetched priors, and a secure web-based viewer, at a lower cost than the archive you’re running today.
Your archive should work as hard as your radiologists.
Legacy PACS archives are expensive to keep, painful to leave, and slow to read from — and every wasted click compounds across hundreds of studies a day.
The legacy archive bill
Server hardware, per-workstation licenses, and support contracts for an archive you mostly just need to read from. The cost never goes down; the hardware only ages.
Priors scattered everywhere
Relevant priors live on the old PACS, a CD in a drawer, or another facility’s portal. Your radiologists wait — or read without them.
Workstation lock-in
Reading tied to specific rooms and installs. A study that needs a second look after hours means a drive back in, not a browser tab.
Built for how imaging practices actually run.
Imaging centers
A modern archive behind your modalities — without the server room or the per-seat license math.
Radiology groups
One archive across sites and readers, with worklists and hanging protocols tuned per radiologist.
Remote & after-hours reading
The full viewer in a browser, so a study can be read wherever the radiologist is — securely, with priors.
Seamless migration off your old archive.
We make the process of migrating from your old archive seamless and simple — you keep reading while we do the moving.
We pull every study
We extract your complete archive from the legacy system — every study, every series, with nothing left stranded on old hardware.
We decrypt and normalize
Encrypted exports are decrypted where needed, and messy media — ISO, ZIP, disc images — are expanded into clean, indexed studies.
You read, instantly
Your images are hosted where you can access them instantly — in a browser, with priors attached, from day one.
An intelligent archive, focused on radiologist efficiency.
Every aspect of the design is focused on radiologist efficiency and cost reduction.
Plays well with your stack
Compatible with all of the major PACS vendors, RIS systems, and EMRs — Strata fits into the environment you already run, rather than replacing it wholesale.
Portable, secure web viewer
A portable, secure, web-based viewing platform. Any modern browser is a reading seat — no workstation install, no VPN, no room dependency.
Intelligent worklist management
AI algorithms keep the worklist working for you — organized and prioritized so radiologists spend their time reading, not triaging a queue.
Customizable hanging protocols
Sophisticated, highly customizable hanging protocols — studies open laid out the way each radiologist reads them, every time.
Priors, pre-fetched
Relevant prior studies are pre-fetched and waiting alongside the new study — no hunting through the archive mid-read.
Lower cost, published pricing
AI-based storage and retrieval algorithms let us offer a lower cost than our competitors — with transparent, published pricing instead of a sales maze.
Designed with a radiologist, not just for one.
Strata is an intelligent image archive designed by a team of software engineers working closely with a radiologist who has more than 25 years of experience designing and managing hospital PACS. That experience shows up everywhere: in the hanging protocols, in the worklist, in what pre-fetches before you ask — enterprise-grade imaging technology at a cost a facility can actually justify.
Questions, answered.
How does migration from our current PACS work?
Seamlessly, and we do the heavy lifting: we pull every study from your old archive, decrypt where needed, and host your images where you can access them instantly. Your radiologists keep reading throughout — there’s no cutover weekend where the priors disappear.
Is Strata compatible with our PACS, RIS, and EMR?
Strata is compatible with all of the major PACS vendors, RIS systems, and EMRs. Tell us what you run at a demo and we’ll walk through exactly how it connects to your environment.
What do radiologists read on?
A portable, secure, web-based viewing platform — full reading tools in any modern browser, with windowing, measurements, multi-series layouts, and priors. No workstation software to install or license.
What makes the archive “intelligent”?
AI algorithms drive intelligent worklist management, sophisticated and highly customizable hanging protocols, and pre-fetching of relevant prior studies — so the study opens laid out correctly, with its priors already there.
How is it cheaper than what we run now?
Two ways: there’s no server hardware, workstation licensing, or support contract to carry, and our AI-based storage and retrieval algorithms let us run the archive itself at lower cost than our competitors — savings we pass through as published pricing.
Is it HIPAA compliant, and will you sign a BAA?
Yes to both. Imaging lives in a managed, secure cloud built for PHI — encrypted in transit and at rest, with an audit log of every access — and we sign a Business Associate Agreement. (This marketing site itself stores no patient data.)
Can we handle outside imaging — discs patients bring in?
Yes. Strata opens the encrypted discs and messy ISO/ZIP/DICOMDIR media that stall ordinary viewers, and a simple upload link lets other facilities send studies straight into your archive.
